The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has launched an investigation after a man was found dead inside a plastic barrel found on Malibu Lagoon State Beach on Monday morning

The barrel was first retrieved on Sunday and left on the beach, but the tide took it back to the water where a lifeguard retrieved it, bringing it back to the beach and opened it.
