Carpinteria lost a 2-1 overtime decision against Malibu in a Citrus Coast League girls soccer game on Wednesday. Cydney Smolnikar scored for the Warriors, slotting home a pass from Ashley Verdusco in the first half. "The girls gave everything and for that I am so proud of their tireless work rate and effort," coach Charles Bryant said.
