10-Acre Brush Fire Extinguished In Calabasas

The fire broke out about 9 a.m. in "light-to-medium brush," burning along the eastbound 101 Freeway near Las Virgenes, the California Highway Patrol said. It was headed northwest and was driven by strong winds, Malibu Search and Rescue reported. California Highway Patrol said a closure of the 101 Freeway was "anticipated to happen soon."
